MotherTree is exquisitely detailed and sculpted from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC)

GameTime, a leading manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, outdoor fitness equipment and custom playground equipment, recently released MotherTree, a treehouse that fits into natural playgrounds for young children. Designed by GameTime’s custom play division, Landmark Design, MotherTree is constructed of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) and features a faux fireplace, ladybugs, butterflies and other animals sculpted into the tree. GameTime created MotherTree in response to requests for preschool playground equipment that encourages a love for nature, particularly in urban areas where trees and natural playgrounds are scarce.

“Park and Recreation directors and school administrators told us they loved the look of our realistic treehouse designed for older children,” said Sam Smith, product manager for GameTime. “We asked our custom play division to create a treehouse that was developmentally appropriate for young children. In some parts of the country, children don’t encounter a lot of trees. MotherTree replicates the look and experience of playing in a treehouse, no matter where you live.”

MotherTree is designed to work with GameTime outdoor play structures like slides and climbers to create a playful, preschool playground equipment centerpiece in a park or school. The steps, openings and internal gathering areas are all designed for use by children ages two to five and provide developmental benefits for that specific age group.

MotherTree joins a lineup of other ready-to-order GFRC play sculptures, including a Lighthouse, Medieval Castle, Pirate Ship and more. Learn more about MotherTree and other themed play sculptures at www.gametime.com/playworx.
